The Assistant headmaster (Domestic) of Accra Academy Senior High School Mr William Asun has cried out for external help as he laments that the school has been taken over by mosquitoes and bedbugs.
According to him,the greeny nature of the school has contributed to this situation, making Accra Academy the headquarters of breeding mosquitoes and bedbugs.
He explained how teachers and students often get infected with malaria due to this unfortunate challenge.
The school is by this calling for help from all bodies to help the Bleoo boys fight mosquitoes and bedbugs from the school to pave way for a smooth teaching and learning environment.
He stated this today when Ghana’s leading waste management company, Zoomlion commenced the phase two of a nationwide fumigation and disinfection exercise to cover all Senior High Schools in a bid to prevent the spread of covid-19.
This exercise comes at a time the country is putting in place concerted efforts to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus which has been declared a global pandemic.
The first phase of the exercise started with the fumigation of the schools within the period that schools in the country have been closed down. The second phase which commenced today involve the disinfection to ensure a conductive that teaching and learning environment of the schools in the country
